Gena’s 2024 Mtsvane Qvevri (no skin contact) is a unique expression of traditional qvevri winemaking — this time without fermentation on the grape skins — emphasizing the grape’s purity and delicate aromatic character. Pale straw in color, the wine opens with gentle floral notes of white blossoms, pear, and apricot.
On the palate, it is smooth, balanced, and harmonious, with a light to medium body and refined texture. The absence of skin contact preserves the wine’s freshness and clarity, resulting in a clean and lively white ideal for both festive occasions and everyday enjoyment.
This minimal-intervention version of Mtsvane highlights how tradition can meet elegance. Perfect with fish, light poultry, fresh cheeses, or fruit-based salads. A wonderful option for those seeking a natural wine that is soft, fragrant, and gracefully easy to drink.
