Marani Zodi Dzelshavi 2023 from the Zodi microzone near Chiatura in the Imereti region is crafted using the classic method and offers a gentle, lively, and elegant expression of this rare native grape in a semi-sweet style. Its ruby hue reflects freshness and lightness, while the 11.5% alcohol is seamlessly integrated into its light body, giving the wine a refreshing and easy-drinking profile. The aromatic profile opens with notes of cherry, strawberry, and plum, creating a warm, inviting, and cheerful character. On the palate, it is balanced and harmonious, where natural sweetness is supported by light acidity, preserving clarity and elegance and leading to a soft, lingering finish. Its light structure and subtle sweetness make it an excellent match for fruit-based desserts, light tarts, soft cheeses, and honey-based treats.
