This dry red wine is one of the most powerful and impressive expressions from Tbilvino’s Qvevri range. It is crafted from Saperavi grapes harvested in the distinguished vineyards of Vachnadziani, within the Kakheti region. Produced using the traditional Qvevri method, this wine gains exceptional structure and complexity. The 2022 vintage stands out for its high extractivity and robust character, reflected in its notable 15% alcohol content. The wine displays an intense ruby hue in the glass. The bouquet is rich and expressive, featuring notes of black currant harmoniously blended with piquant spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and firm; a vibrant, "cyanic" acidity meets the round, soft tannins characteristic of Qvevri maturation, creating a well-balanced profile. The long, warming finish underscores the premium quality of the wine. This Qvevris Saperavi pairs perfectly with traditional Georgian BBQ (Mtsvadi), steaks, roasted game, and strong, aged cheeses.
