Baia’s Wine Krakhuna 2024 from the village of Obcha in the Imereti region is crafted in qvevri and offers an authentic, structured, and deeply expressive interpretation of this native Georgian grape. Its amber hue reflects skin contact and natural extract, while the 12.5% alcohol is seamlessly integrated into its full body, giving the wine balance and quiet power. The aromatic profile opens with notes of quince, pear, and citrus, creating a rich and layered character. On the palate, it is full-bodied and textural, where concentrated fruit is supported by the gentle structure shaped by qvevri fermentation, adding depth and a sense of longevity. Its full body and structure make it an excellent match for roasted white meats, grilled vegetables, herb-roasted chicken, and medium-bodied cheeses. From Georgian cuisine, it pairs especially well with elarji, Imeretian khachapuri, stewed vegetables with a light walnut touch, and oven-roasted pumpkin.
