Levanis Marani Akhmeta Saperavi 2019 from the Akhmeta microzone in the Kakheti region is crafted in qvevri and offers a powerful, concentrated, and authentic expression of Georgia’s flagship red grape. Its dark cherry hue reflects depth and ripeness, while the 15% alcohol is seamlessly integrated into its full body, giving the wine firmness and a serious structure. The aromatic profile opens with intense notes of plum and ripe cherry, creating a rich and warm first impression. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with defined tannins that give the wine character and aging potential, leading to a long, powerful finish. Its full body and tannic structure make it an excellent match for grilled beef, slow-braised lamb, spiced meat dishes, and medium-bodied cheeses. From Georgian cuisine, it pairs especially well with mtsvadi, khashlama, stewed beef with a light tkemali touch, and grilled eggplant with a restrained walnut note.
