This Otskhanuri Sapere from Dolidze Vineyards is a traditional Imeretian red wine made in Qvevri, sourced from the Tskhratskaro terroir of Zestaponi. It shows a deep ruby color with expressive aromas of cherry, black currant, and delicate floral notes. The palate is marked by round, gentle tannins and lively acidity, creating a balanced, harmonious structure. With a medium body and a medium finish, the wine reveals the natural intensity and elegance of this rare Western Georgian grape.
It pairs beautifully with roasted white or red meats, barbecue dishes, lightly spiced cuisine, and semi-hard cheeses. Serve at 15–18 °C to highlight its qvevri-driven character and the distinctive personality of Otskhanuri Sapere.
