2022 / Amber / Dry

This dry amber wine is produced from Rkatsiteli grapes harvested in the sun-drenched vineyards of Akhmeta, Kakheti. The unique terroir of Akhmeta provides the ideal conditions for the grapes to reach optimal maturity, resulting in the rich aromatic depth found in this family-produced wine. It is crafted in Qvevri using the ancient Georgian traditional method, ensuring an authentic and robust expression of the variety. The wine showcases a deep amber hue in the glass. The nose is greeted by an inviting bouquet of ripe apricot and small yellow plums (cherami). On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-structured, characterized by the firm tannins typical of traditional Rkatsiteli and a potent 13.5% alcohol content. The Qvevri vinification lends the wine a velvety texture and a persistent, lingering finish. This Qvevri wine perfectly pairs with traditional Kakhetian dishes, such as grilled meats (mtsvadi), roasted pig, and aged hard cheeses.
