Produced from Saperavi grapes harvested in the Kakheti region, this dry red wine is a robust expression of Georgia's signature variety. Crafted by Mimino using the ancestral Qvevri method, this vintage blends the natural power of Saperavi with the complex depth of clay-vessel fermentation. The 2024 vintage stands out for its resilience and well-defined varietal characteristics. The wine displays an intense ruby hue in the glass. Its bouquet is rich and sophisticated, dominated by masculine and spicy notes of smoke and tobacco, giving it a distinctive and alluring edge. On the palate, it is defined by a full body and a firm structure; the 13% alcohol content and the smooth, round tannins typical of Qvevri winemaking create a balanced and impressive profile. This Saperavi pairs excellently with traditional Georgian BBQ (Mtsvadi), roasted red meats, game, and strong, aged cheeses.
