This dry amber wine is crafted from the Khikhvi variety, one of Georgia’s most prestigious and rare grapes, harvested in the Kakheti region. Produced by the Georgian Wine Cellar using the ancestral Qvevri method, the wine underwent prolonged skin contact, allowing the 2022 vintage to develop a sophisticated structure and an authentic character unique to traditional clay vessels. The wine displays an intense amber hue in the glass. The bouquet is of medium intensity, harmoniously showcasing ripe white orchard fruits and subtle notes of dried fruit. On the palate, it is defined by a medium body and a vibrant, "cyanic" acidity, which, combined with 13% alcohol, creates a well-balanced and energetic profile. The integrated Qvevri tannins provide additional fullness and a velvety texture to the finish. This Khikhvi pairs excellently with roasted poultry, traditional walnut-based appetizers, spicy dishes, and aged cheeses.
