Product details:
Chona’s Marani Saperavi Mukuzani 2024 from the Mukuzani microzone in the Kakheti region is crafted in qvevri and offers an authentic, structured expression of Georgia’s flagship red grape. Its dark cherry hue reflects depth and concentration, while the 13% alcohol is seamlessly integrated into the structure, preserving balance and drinkability.
The aromatic profile opens with intense notes of blackcurrant and ripe cherry, layered with warm hints of cinnamon that create a rich, multi-dimensional character. On the palate, it is balanced and structured, with defined yet soft tannins that give the wine seriousness and aging potential, leading to a long, clean finish.
Its tannic structure and depth make it an excellent match for grilled beef, slow-braised lamb, spiced chicken dishes, and medium-bodied cheeses. From Georgian cuisine, it pairs especially well with mtsvadi, khashlama, stewed beef with a light tkemali touch, and grilled eggplant with a restrained walnut note.
