From the village of Mukuzani in the Gurjaani district, Uzunashvili Mukuzani Cellar’s Saperavi 2020 is a powerful yet harmonious qvevri-aged red, crafted by winemaker Vazha Uzunashvili. It embodies the strength of Kakheti’s terroir and the elegance of a master’s touch. The bouquet reveals rich notes of black currant and cherry, layered with depth and ripe concentration. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with balanced tannins and a smooth texture. The qvevri aging brings natural purity and depth, giving the wine a long, graceful finish marked by authenticity and complexity. Fermented in qvevri with selected yeast, gently filtered, and stabilized with minimal sulphur (10%), this Saperavi reflects the clarity and integrity of both the grape and its origin.
