This dry amber wine is crafted from the rare Khikhvi grape variety, harvested in the fertile vineyards of Vazisubani, Kakheti. Produced at the "Vazisubani Estate" winery using traditional Qvevri methods, this expression gains exceptional authenticity and structural integrity. The 2024 vintage presents itself as a diverse, energetic wine with a strong character. The wine displays an intense amber hue in the glass. Its bouquet is remarkably complex, featuring notes of white orchard fruit seamlessly blended with herbal and piquant coniferous (pine-like) aromas, creating a harmonious and memorable palette. On the palate, the wine is defined by a medium body and firm, rough tannins, which give it a traditional, robust Kakhetian profile. The 12.5% alcohol content is perfectly integrated into the wine's body, resulting in a well-balanced and complete structure. This Amber Khikhvi pairs perfectly with fatty fish, roasted poultry, walnut-based appetizers, and aged cheeses.
