This dry amber wine is crafted from the Kisi grape variety, harvested in the picturesque town of Sighnagi within the Kakheti region. Produced at Gurashvili's Vineyards using the traditional Qvevri method, this expression brings a unique Kakhetian strength and complexity to the naturally delicate character of the Kisi grape. The 2021 vintage has developed exceptional maturity and an authentic character, a direct result of prolonged maturation in clay vessels. The wine displays a brilliant amber hue in the glass. Its bouquet is rich and sophisticated, featuring ripe white orchard fruit aromas that harmoniously blend with the earthy undertones characteristic of Qvevri fermentation. On the palate, it is defined by a medium body and a well-balanced structure; the 13% alcohol content and smooth tannins create a harmonious profile that leads to a long and pleasant finish. This Kisi pairs excellently with roasted poultry, traditional walnut-based appetizers, spicy Asian cuisine, and aged cheeses.
