This dry red wine is a true classic of Kakhetian winemaking. It is crafted from Saperavi grapes harvested in the distinguished Tibaani micro-zone of the Sighnaghi district. Produced using the traditional Qvevri method, this expression has gained exceptional structure and significant aging potential. The 2014 vintage presents itself as a fully matured, robust, and sophisticated wine. The wine displays a deep pomegranate hue in the glass. Its bouquet is rich and complex, featuring intensive aromas of ripe blackberry and black cherry that blend seamlessly with the earthy undertones characteristic of Qvevri maturation. On the palate, it is defined by a full body and firm, strong tannins, which, combined with the 13% alcohol content, create an energetic and memorable profile. The long aging process has imparted a particular nobility and smoothness to the wine. This Saperavi pairs perfectly with traditional Georgian BBQ (Mtsvadi), roasted game, steaks, and strong, aged cheeses.
