The wine is dark burgundy, opaque. The aroma is characterized by mushroom, moss, and forest tones. With soft tannins, medium acidity, and sweet berry tones, and later a raw herbaceous tone is lightly felt, with moderate heat on the finish.
The wine is interesting to taste after 9 years of aging.
It pairs well with steamed mushrooms, medium-fried steak, and baked fatty sturgeon.
