This semi-sweet red wine is a classic expression of one of Georgia's most famous protected designations of origin. It is crafted from the Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grape varieties, harvested in the historic Khvanchkara micro-zone of the Racha region. Using classic winemaking technology, Telavi Wine Cellar has created a wine that perfectly preserves the delicacy and aromatic richness unique to the Racha terroir. The 2024 vintage stands out for its energetic and fresh character. The wine displays an inviting light purple hue in the glass. Its bouquet is cheerful and diverse, featuring vibrant aromas of red berries—raspberry, strawberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is defined by a "cyanic" (vibrant) acidity and firm, slightly rough tannins, which create an interesting contrast with its natural sweetness. The 12% alcohol content and velvety structure result in a well-balanced and harmonious profile. This Khvanchkara pairs perfectly with desserts, fruit platters, nuts, traditional churchkhela, and fresh cheeses.
