ღვინო დამზადებულია საფერავის ვაზის ჯიშის ყურძნისგან. ალკოჰოლური დუღილი ჩატარდა ქვევრში (დაახლოებით ორი კვირა) შემდეგ კი ღვინომ გადაინაცვლა უჟანგავი ფოლადის რეზერვუარში. ალუბლისფერ ღვინოს ახასიათებს საფერავის ჯიშობრივი არომატები, როგორიცაა ტყის კენკრა (მაყვალი, წითელი მოცხარი, მოცვი), შავი ქლიავი. ასევე იგრძნობა ტყის ნიადაგისა და ხორცის ტონები. ღვინო სხეულიანია, მომრგვალებული ტანინებითა და კენკრის გემოთი.
სოლომნიშვილის საფერავს აქვს ბოთლში დაძველების კარგი პოტენციალი. ღვინო კარგად შეეხამება საქონლის სტეიკს, ბურგერს ან ბოსტნეულის რაგუს.
