ღვინო დამზადებულია სოფელ ახაშენში, ფაფრის ველზე მოყვანილი საფერავის ყურძნისგან ქვევრში, კახური ტრადიციული მეთოდით. ახასიათებს ძალიან ინტენსიური ალუბლისფერი შეფერილობა, იისფერი ელფერით. გამოხატულია მწიფე კენკრის, ტყის საფარისა და ხორცის არომატები. არის ექსტრაქტული და სტრუქტურული ღვინო. აქვს სრული სხეული, ხორციანი ტანინები, მწიფე კენკრის ტონები და ხანგრძლივი დაბოლოება. მაღალალკოჰოლური ღვინოა, რაც პალეტზე სასიამოვნო სითბოსა და სიცხარის შეგრძნებებს იწვევს.
სასურველია დეკანტირება სერვირებამდე. შესაძლოა ბოთლში იყოს მცირე რაოდენობით ნალექი. აქვს ბოთლში დაძველების პოტენციალი. მოუხდება საქონლის ან ღორის ხორცის კერძებს, სოკოს რიზოტოს, ფრანგულ კერძს Beef Bourguignon-ს.
