This dry amber wine is crafted from the Khikhvi variety, widely regarded as one of Georgia's most noble and rare grapes, harvested in the Kakheti region. Produced in the Terra Georgia family cellar using the ancestral Qvevri method, the wine underwent skin contact in clay vessels, adding traditional Kakhetian complexity and structure to Khikhvi's naturally exotic character. The wine displays a brilliant amber hue in the glass. The bouquet is of medium intensity, featuring inviting and ripe notes of white orchard fruits. On the palate, it is lively and energetic; a vibrant, "cyanic" acidity perfectly balances the 12% alcohol content, resulting in a well-rounded, light-to-medium body. The integrated tannins from the Qvevri fermentation provide a harmonious and authentic finish. This Khikhvi pairs excellently with roasted poultry, fish dishes, traditional walnut-based appetizers, and medium-aged cheeses.
