A powerful amber wine born of Georgia’s ancient qvevri tradition, Badriashvili’s 2023 blend of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane delivers structure, depth, and age-worthy elegance.

Amber in color from extended skin contact in qvevri, the wine opens with complex aromas of dried white fruits — apple, pear, and plum — layered over a subtle earthy undertone.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and textural, with a long, persistent finish. Gentle tannins from the traditional fermentation method are seamlessly integrated with the natural richness of the grapes, promising continued evolution in bottle.

From Gurjaani in Kakheti, one of the region’s most celebrated zones for structured whites, this wine reflects mineral-rich soils and a climate well-suited to crafting complex, skin-contact amber wines.

Ideal with traditional poultry soups, walnut-based vegetable dishes, meat khinkali, or pan-seared trout. Also pairs beautifully with aged cheeses and stone-baked Georgian bread.
