Dolidze Vineyards Chkhaveri 2020 from the Chokhatauri microzone in the Guria region is crafted in qvevri and offers a delicate, elegant, and authentic expression of this rare native grape. Its light ruby hue reflects a light body and airy structure, while the 13% alcohol is seamlessly integrated into the balance, preserving drinkability and finesse. The aromatic profile opens with notes of fresh berries and overripe strawberry, creating a warm, inviting, and slightly nostalgic character. On the palate, it is balanced and clean, with pleasant acidity that maintains lightness and vibrancy, leading to a gentle, lingering finish. Its light structure and refreshing character make it an excellent match for grilled white meats, light fish dishes, grilled vegetables, and soft cheeses. From Georgian cuisine, it pairs especially well with Gurian cheese pie, light chicken stews, pkhali with a restrained walnut touch, and freshly baked mchadi.
